The Digital Skills Gap – The Brum Muse 12 Months On

At Birmingham Tech Week 2019, I delivered a talk on How We Bridge The Digital Skills Gap in Birmingham, and that is how my journey started. 1 year on, a lot has happened, the noise has been made, actions and objectives hit and impact created. So how do we bridge the digital skills gap? The Brum Muse will tell you more. I want to highlight what work has been done to actually bridge the digital skills gap, through working with schools, students, parents, teachers and the importance of empowerment through conversations, both uncomfortable and comfortable. How diversity and digital poverty needs addressing and why bringing together people in the tech ecosystem has allowed us to achieve goals and respect in not only our industry but as humans.
