ScaleUp Programme

The ScaleUp Programme is a fully-funded, free-to-access, ScaleUp Accelerator that helps tech businesses with high-potential achieve more. The programme delivers advice and mentoring from tech leaders who have themselves successfully scaled businesses.

Since launching in 2021, the programme has helped businesses increase revenue, enhance profitability and raise investment to aid growth.

The 2021 ScaleUp Programme was launched at the Innovation Birmingham Campus (part of Bruntwood Sci-Tech) where cohort one were officially onboarded.

Scale & Succeed

Our ScaleUp programme participants get access to executives who have helped shape some of the world’s biggest tech companies. Our latest cohort were given the opportunity to meet Ash Ali, Just Eat’s first CMO who helped the company to their £1.47 billion IPO (the biggest for a UK tech company at the time). Ash spoke about his journey which has led him to create Uhubs and write an award-winning and best selling book for entrepreneurs (The Unfair Advantage).

Executive Dinners

As part of the programme, we host Executive Dinners, where our entrepreneurs get to meet successful tech founders in a relaxed environment. Our latest cohort experienced a beautiful dinner at The Grand Hotel where they heard from Mike Bristow, CEO & Co-Founder of CrowdProperty – the PropTech businesses which is one of the fastest growing companies in Europe.

Investor Showcase Day

? We celebrated the end of our ScaleUp Accelerator yesterday as cohort one showcased their innovation and progress at our pitching event. We were joined by investors from across the West Midlands and UK who got a chance to see some of our region’s exciting tech companies.

Birmingham sees a significant growth in investment in 2021

A report by high-growth data platform, Beauhurst, has shown Birmingham businesses received more investment in 2021 than they did during the three previous years combined. The research suggests that now is a great time to unlock capital and scale your business.
