Venturefest West Midlands returns on January 28th 2021 with a stellar line-up of speakers, panel discussions, networking opportunities and entrepreneurial pitching.
The free-to-attend conference will begin with a keynote address from Ben Francis, Founder of regional unicorn, Gymshark. Ben will tell the remarkable success story that has seen the sportswear company go from challenger brand to international juggernaut with a £1billion valuation.
The event, one of the region’s top business events, will be delivered virtually and will cover a number of important topics, including, GreenTech, Innovation, Digital Strategy and Entrepreneurship. It will also be a chance to hear about the new West Midlands Digital Roadmap, which will set the foundations for the region’s digital transformation.
David Hardman MBE, Chair Venturefest West Midlands 2021 Steering Group commented:
“This event, like so many others in the last year, has been translated into a virtual one but that has not changed the Steering Group’s objective of promoting connectivity and contact to drive the delivery of new innovative products and services to the marketplace in and from the West Midlands.”
As part of the conference, Yiannis Maos, Founder of Birmingham Tech and Chris Blackwell, ScaleUp Lead at Birmingham Tech, will highlight their new ScaleUp Accelerator and give delegates the opportunity to find out more about the new programme. The session will take place from 11:40 AM-12:10 PM and those interested in attending can register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/venturefestwm-tickets-130426421939
Yiannis Maos commented:
“Venturefest West Midlands is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect with one another, discuss opportunities and find out what’s going on across the region. We are delighted to be running a session at the event, where we’ll be letting people know what to expect from our new accelerator and how they can get involved.
Our region has been long-known for its vibrant, diverse and entrepreneurial spirit and this is why Birmingham has been crowned UK’s regional startup capital for the seventh year running. However, to truly realise our potential, we need to create more ScaleUps that create jobs, wealth and a sustainable & resilient digital economy.”
Concluding the day will be Minerva Birmingham Pitch Up, the premier pitching competition that provides the opportunity for ambitious businesses to improve their ability to win investment while simultaneously boosting their business profile.
